After a disappointing end to the 2025-2026 season, Jan Jensen and her squad have some rebuilding to do.

Her squad is losing four seniors, including Hannah Stuelke, Jada Gyamfi, Kylie Feuerbach, and Taylor McCabe, and three players have already announced they are entering the transfer portal.

Addie Deal, Callie Levin, and Kennise Johnson plan to enter the portal when it opens on April 6. With seven players already leaving and the potential for more, there is work to be done in the portal with only one committed player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Transfer portal information

The transfer portal window for women's college basketball opens on April 6 and remains open until April 20, one day before the window for men's basketball.

The 15-day window opens right after the NCAA Women's National Championship game. While the window is shorter, unlimited transfers are now allowed, unlike before, when you would get penalized for transferring multiple times.

Analysis

Iowa ran out of gas at the end of the season, and its lack of shooting was exposed in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tournament against Fairleigh Dickinson and again in the Round of 32 loss to Virginia.

Iowa already has six spots to fill before next season, and the focus is clearly on more help at both guard spots, shooting, and depth.
