There it is!

After five days, Jan Jensen and the Iowa program finally made a splash in the transfer portal, and it's a big one.

The Iowa roster dwindled to six players, and only two of them are guards. Chit-Chat Wright and Taylor Stremlow are returning next season, but the program's glaring lack of guard depth was a major issue heading into the offseason.

Jensen and her staff prioritized guards during the first few days of the transfer portal window, and their persistence paid off in a big way.

Iowa landed its first transfer after signing do-it-all guard Dani Carnegie

All of the five players Iowa lost to the transfer portal were guards, including 2025 five-star prospect Addie Deal.

When one door closes, another opens, and the program made a massive transfer portal signing to help solve the guard depth problem.

According to On3 Sports' Talia Goodman, sophomore guard Dani Carnegie is headed to Iowa City next season after transferring from the Georgia Bulldogs.

Jan Jensen and a few members of the Iowa coaching staff teased a signing, and On3 Sports confirmed that Carnegie is the player joining the program.

It was revealed that Carnegie was visiting Iowa City this weekend, and the program must have made one heck of an impression because she signed almost immediately.

Carnegie's signing has massive implications for the program, giving them a legit starting guard who can do a little bit of everything for the squad.

Last season for the Georgia Bulldogs, Carnegie averaged 17.8 points on 42.7 percent shooting from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc, while also adding 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

After spending her freshman year at Georgia Tech with current Hawkeye Chit-Chat Wright, Carnegie set career highs across the board en route to earning a First-Team All-SEC selection.

Carnegie should start at the shooting guard position, moving Taylor Stremlow to small forward, which would make for a solid backcourt to begin next season.

Iowa's first signing in this year's transfer portal window is massive for the program, and they could have Carnegie for at least two more seasons.
