The future is looking brighter everyday for Iowa commit McKenna Woliczko.

After committing to the Hawkeyes last October, Woliczko returned to the court for Archbishop Mitty after over a year's layoff due to meniscus and ACL injuries.

Woliczko has been a double-double machine since returning from her injury, including a 25-point, 15-rebound performance against Ontario Christian, the No. 1 overall program in girls' high school basketball.

After that dynamic performance, Woliczko was added to Team USA's roster for the 2026 Nike Hoops Summit in Portland.

The accolades did not stop there for Woliczko, adding another distinction to her already legendary high school playing career.

In four games since her return, Woliczko is averaging 20.3 points and 11.8 rebounds, and has earned more recognition in her short time back on the court.

After a fast start to her senior season, Woliczko was named to the Naismith High School Player of the Year Midseason Team.

She faces stiff competition with multiple big-time prospects on that list, but her strong start has given No. 3 Archbishop Mitty the spark they were looking for.

The highly touted Iowa commit is getting Iowa fans extremely excited for next season, when she dons the black and gold for the first time, and will provide more depth to an already strong team.

Iowa will lose Kylie Feuerbach, Taylor McCabe, and Hannah Stuelke after this season, and Woliczko should immediately compete for minutes.

Woliczko will give Iowa a blend of size and shooting that we have rarely seen in Iowa City, and the excitement is building for Iowa's top 2026 prospect.
