One way to stick it to your former school? Join one of their hated rivals.
After a slow start to the offseason, Jan Jensen and the Iowa women's basketball program picked up two big transfers in Dani Carnegie (Georgia) and Amari Whiting (Oklahoma State).
The roster now sits at eight after the program dwindled to six players, with four leaving for graduation and five entering the transfer portal.
One of the players to enter the portal was a former five-star recruit, and she decided to stick it to her former team one last time after signing with another Big Ten Team, a hated rival at that.
Of all the teams she could've picked, Addie Deal chose Wisconsin
Even though the season did not end the way most Iowa players and fans would've hoped, no one could have predicted that five players would enter the transfer portal.
One of the biggest surprises was freshman guard Addie Deal, fresh off a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection.
Deal was very streaky during her freshman season, but showed flashes of why she was such a highly coveted recruit out of Mater Dei High School in California. Even though she was projected for a bigger role next season, she surprisingly announced she was entering the portal, and now we know her next destination.

Not only did Deal stay in the same conference as Iowa, but she chose to sign with rival Wisconsin. This move will surely cause some bad blood between her and her former teammates, and we will get to see her at least a few times a year for potentially three more years.
No one would necessarily call Deal a bust with the Hawkeyes, but she definitely did not live up to the immense hype surrounding her before she arrived with the program.
She showed flashes of her dynamic play, dropping a career-high 18 points against Oregon, but she struggled in her two starts against UCLA and USC and never got back on track.
Deal finished her first and last season in Iowa City averaging 5.1 points on 39.4 percent shooting from the field and 29.7 percent from beyond the arc.
It's especially hard wondering what could have been for the talented freshman, and now we will have to root against her when Iowa battles Wisconsin in Big Ten play next season.
