The Iowa Hawkeyes (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) went into Madison, Wisconsin, and took care of business against an overmatched Wisconsin squad.

Iowa dropped 37 points, while the defense did not allow a single point to be scored against them, as the Hawkeyes fanned the flames on Wisconsin Head Coach Luke Fickell's hot seat.

The Hawkeyes were missing multiple key players on both sides of the football, and starting quarterback Mark Gronowski and wide receiver Reece Vander Zee were questionable heading into the game.

Both players performed well, even with the Hawkeyes leaning on their rushing attack and defense to secure their second Big Ten Conference win.

The Week Eight depth chart looks very similar to last week's depth chart, with a few notable players remaining on the sidelines with injuries.

Reece Vander Zee is officially off the injury report

After missing the first six weeks with a foot injury, the Iowa offense got another weapon back in the form of wide receiver Reece Vander Zee.

Vander Zee suffered a freak injury during a practice before Iowa's first game of the season against Albany, and has slowly worked his way back into the lineup.

In limited snaps against Wisconsin, Vander Zee hauled in three passes for 29 yards and was targeted four times.

Now close to 100 percent healthy, Vander Zee is listed as the backup to receiver Sam Phillips on the official depth chart, but will likely see the field quite a bit against a struggling Penn State defense.

Jaziun Patterson and Terrell Washington Jr. are still out

During different games this season, running backs Jaziun Patterson and Terrell Washington Jr. were listed as starters with Kamari Moulton out, but now they are both sidelined with injuries.

Patterson has been out with an ankle injury since the Iowa win over Rutgers on September 19. It was initially not believed to be a serious injury, but he will miss his third-straight game on Saturday.

Washington Jr. will also be out on Saturday, missing his second-straight game against Penn State.

The dynamic freshmen duo of Xavier Williams and Nathan McNeil will be the primary backups as Patterson and Washington Jr. recover.

Starting linebacker Jaden Harrell remains sidelined

Starting middle linebacker Jaden Harrell has been an anchor for the Iowa defense this season, but he will miss his second-straight game against Penn State as he recovers from an injury.

Harrell suffered the injury during the Iowa loss to Indiana, and has not been able to return.

Junior linebacker Jayden Montgomery filled in for the injured Harrell last weekend against Wisconsin and had a solid performance. He will start again this weekend against Penn State.
