Iowa fans will have to hold their breath for a little longer.
During Iowa's week five loss to Indiana, multiple Hawkeyes suffered injuries. They used the bye week last week to get healthy for the battle for the Heartland Trophy against Wisconsin this weekend.
In Kirk Ferentz's weekly press conference, he stated that the bye week came at a good time after four straight weeks of training camp and five straight weeks of games.
Ferentz would also not commit to a starting quarterback for the game against Wisconsin on Saturday night following starting quarterback Mark Gronowski's injury during the Indiana game.
Gronowski suffered the injury in the fourth quarter and did not return to the game.
A little over 24 hours from kickoff, and we still do not have a clear picture of Gronowski's status, or who will start Saturday's game.
Iowa QB Mark Gronowski is expected to be a game-time decision at Wisconsin, sources tell @On3sports.

He's been working through a left knee injury and went through the week without any flare-ups. How he feels Saturday a.m. and pregame will be key.

On3 Sports' Pete Nakos reported that Gronowski is a game-time decision on Saturday as he continues rehabbing his injured left knee.
Nakos also reported that Gronowski has not had any flare-ups in the injury after he was medically cleared last week and returned to practice.
How he feels Saturday morning and during pregame workouts will determine if he plays against Wisconsin.
If Gronowski is unable to play, Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski will be called into action against the Badgers.
The good news for Hawkeye fans is that if Gronowski does not play, Brown and Hecklinski both took most of the first-team reps last week while Gronowski was sidelined.
