Iowa Women's Basketball has been dealing with some injuries to start the season, but has stayed strong.

Iowa is a perfect 9-0 to start the season, with key wins over No. 7 Baylor and Miami, while also easily handling in-state rivals Drake and Northern Iowa.

The Hawkeyes moved up one spot in the most recent AP Top 25 rankings, moving from No. 12 to No. 11, and will put that ranking to the test as they head to Ames on Wednesday night.

Iowa will take on the nation's leading scorer, Audi Crooks, and Iowa State in Hilton Coliseum in an essential battle for state supremacy on Wednesday night.

Before a crucial matchup against the Cyclones, Head Coach Jan Jensen gave an update on the injury statuses of four players.

Jensen announced that starting point guard Chit-Chat Wright (upper body) and Teagan Mallegni (tonsils) will be ready for the game against Iowa State, while Emely Rodriguez (back) and Jada Gyamfi (knee) are still out.

Wright was injured after taking a hard fall in Iowa's upset win over No. 7 Baylor and has been slowly working her way back.

She suited up for the Hawkeyes during their win over Rutgers last weekend, but was limited to eight minutes for precautionary reasons.

Wright's return is great news for the Hawkeyes as the sophomore point guard is leading the team in assists per game.

It also allows Taylor Stremlow to be moved back into a reserve role, strengthening Iowa's bench depth.

Getting Mallegni back will also help provide depth after she returns following surgery to remove her tonsils.

Iowa will need everyone on its A-game against a tough Cyclones squad if it hopes to leave Ames with a victory and remain perfect to start the year.
