Any point guard that joins the Iowa Women's Basketball program has big shoes to fill with all the recent success at the position.

Last season, transfer Lucy Olsen took the Big Ten by storm during her first and only season in Iowa City, and went on to be a second-round WNBA draft pick.

Superstar Caitlin Clark was a generational talent for the Hawkeyes and college basketball, elevating the program and the sport to new heights.

Clark is synonymous with the recent success of the program and has carried that success into the WNBA with the Indiana Fever.

Before Clark took over college basketball, the Hawkeyes had Kathleen Doyle running the show.

During her stellar Iowa senior season for the Hawkeyes (2019-2020), she averaged career highs in points (18.1) and rebounds (4.6), while adding a team-leading 6.3 assists per game.

New Iowa point guard Chazadi "Chit-Chat" Wright knows he pressure of being a solid point guard at Iowa, but she wants to be herself.

During a portion of her media availability during media days (posted by "The Hawkeye Report"), Chit-Chat stated that ever since she was a kid, she had a pass-first mentality.

She is an old-school point guard who always looks to pass first before taking a shot, but she also knows when to pass and when to score.

A staple of the Hawkey program over the past few seasons has been having bigs run the floor quickly, with the guards throwing the ball ahead to them in transition.

Chit-Chat is confident she has that in her arsenal, and knows Ava Heiden and the other bigs like to run the floor.

Overall, Chit-hat has enjoyed her time in Iowa City so far, and she cannot wait to play in front of sold-out crowds at Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season.
