Iowa Baseball had a tough stretch of games to end the 2025 season. The Hawkeyes were on top of the standings for most of the season, but went 2-10-1 down the final stretch to end the regular season in third place.

Iowa dropped two of three to Oregon State, including a tie, and lost the final three games of the regular season to Oregon.

The Hawkeyes entered the Big Ten Tournament as a No. 3 seed and won their first game 4-3 against Rutgers. Iowa then lost a meaningless game to Indiana before bowing out of the tournament following a 9-3 loss to UCLA in the semifinals.

After losing to UCLA, the Hawkeyes were not invited to the NCAA Tournament, ending their season.

Iowa finished the season with a 33-22-1 (21-9 Big Ten) record and had eight players earn All-Big Ten honors.

This week, the Big Ten is getting a jump on next season by releasing the 2026 conference schedule.

Iowa will host UCLA (March 27-29), Minnesota (April 3-5), Maryland (April 17-19), Illinois (May 1-3), and Purdue (May 14-16) at Duane Banks Field in Iowa City.

The Hawkeyes travel to take on Penn State (March 13-15), Michigan State (March 20-22), USC (April 10-12), Indiana (April 24-26), and Nebraska (May 8-10).

Iowa has series against five of the top eight teams from 2024.

The Hawkeyes will have to succeed without All-Big Ten First Team performers Cade Obermueller, Aaron Savary, and Reese Moore. Obermueller and Savary are projected to leave the team and enter the MLB Draft, and Moore has entered the transfer portal.
