Iowa Baseball wrapped up the regular season with two tough series against No. 10 Oregon State and No. 7 Oregon. The Hawkeyes lost five of six and tied a game against Oregon State to finish the regular season.
On Saturday, the Hawkeyes learned they will be a three-seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament in Omaha, Nebraska, and will play the ten-seed Rutgers in their first matchup.
Ahead of the Big Ten Tournament this week, eight Hawkeyes were named to All-Big Ten Teams for a stellar 2025 season.
All-Big Ten First Team: Aaron Savary, Cade Obermueller, and Reese Moore

After a solid season for the Hawkeyes, three Iowa Baseball players earned All-Big Ten First Team selections.
After a stellar season on the mound, junior right-handed pitcher and Dubuque, Iowa, native, Aaron Savary earned All-Big Ten First Team honors. Savary had a 7-1 record, with a 3.76 earned run average (ERA) and 81 strikeouts in 77 innings.
Cade Obermueller, a junior left-handed pitcher and Iowa City, Iowa, native, was the second Hawkeye pitcher to be named to the All-Big Ten First Team. After the Texas Rangers selected Obermueller in the 19th round of the 2024 MLB Draft, he return to Iowa for his junior season.
Obermueller ended the regular season with a 4-3 record, a 3.30 ERA, and 107 strikeouts in 76.1 innings. His 107 strikeouts lead the Big Ten.
The third Hawkeye to receive All-Big Ten Honors is redshirt sophomore catcher, and Van Meter, Iowa, native, Reese Moore. Moore finished the regular season with a .319 batting average and a team-leading 45 runs batted in.
He also tallied 27 extra-base hits, including 16 doubles, nine home runs, and two triples.

After the conclusion of the 2025 season, two Hawkeyes were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
Reece Beuter, a right-handed pitcher from Cedar Falls, Iowa, earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors after going 6-0, with a 3.14 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 63 innings. Beuter also held opposing batters to a .196 batting average.
Utility man Daniel Rogers is the second Hawkeye to earn All-Big Ten Second Team honors. After transferring from Loras College, Rogers batted .262 with 41 runs batted in. He also tallied seven home runs and 11 doubles in 47 starts.
All-Big Ten Third Team: Ben Wilmes

Ben Wilmes, a senior infielder from Johnston, Iowa, earned All-Big Ten Third Team honors for his solid 2025 season.
"The Jet" hit .313 with 41 runs batted in and a career-high seven home runs during the regular season.

Jaixen Frost, a freshman infielder, and Kellerton, Iowa, native, is the fourth Iowa freshman to earn All-Big Ten Freshman Team honors under Manager Rick Heller.
After batting .323 with 23 runs batted in, Frost earned All-Big Ten Freshman Team honors.
Big Ten Sportsmanship Award: Max Burt

Iowa freshman catcher, and Mason City, Iowa, native, Max Burt, is the Iowa recipient of the 2025 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
The award is presented to athletes who display sportsmanship and ethical behavior, are in good academic standing, and display good citizenship.
The Hawkeyes travel to Omaha, Nebrasksa, on Wednesday to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in their first game of the Big Ten Tournament. First pitch is at 6:00 p.m. Central Time.
