There is no shortage of talent on Iowa Football's roster for this season, but one of the question marks heading into the spring and summer is the offensive line.
The unit lost multiple members of last season's Joe Moore Award-winning squad, including All-Americans Logan Jones and Beau Stephens, and tackle Gennings Dunker.
The unit returns starters Kade Pieper and Trevor Lauck, with veterans Michael Myslinki, Jack Dotzler, and Leighton Jones projected for increased roles.
One of those players has been making a name for himself since last season, and could even swap positions to help the squad next year.

With senior Logan Jones graduating, the starting center position is wide open, and Kade Pieper is potentially shifting positions to sure up the center of the line.

Pieper had great success as a first-year starter at guard for the Hawkeyes last season, earning an All-American selection, and shortly after Iowa's victory in the ReliaQuest Bowl, rumors circulated that he was moving to center.
Now we have a first look at Pieper taking practice snaps with quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski, showing that the program is seriously considering moving him.
It is only spring practice, and nothing is set in stone, but if Pieper solidifies the center spot, that gives offensive line coach George Barnett more depth.
Iowa has multiple options at the center spot, but veteran Michael Myslinki has been plagued by injuries throughout his career, and Leighton Jones and Cael Winter are both unproven at the college level.
Peiper would give them an All-American at one of the most important positions on the line, giving the coaching staff a lot less to worry about before next season.
