Gennings Dunker is slowly becoming a fan and media favorite during practices for the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl.

The senior showcase may have a new name, but it still remains as one of the premier senior showcase events for hundreds of players.

For the last 76 years, seniors from all over the country have gone to Mobile, Alabama, for one last chance to display their skills in front of multiple NFL executives and scouts, and five Hawkeyes are participating this weekend.

Everyone knows that Iowa players are ready for the NFL after graduation, and one former Hawkeye offensive lineman has turned heads this week during practices for the game on January 31.

Gennings Dunker is climbing draft boards thanks to his versatility

Dunker has been a fan favorite on the Iowa offensive line with his flowing red hair and light-hearted style, but he is now endearing himself to a national audience during practices for the Senior Bowl.

Dunker was primarily a tackle on the Iowa offensive line that earned the Joe Moore Award this past season, but don't let that fool you.

He is an extremely versatile player and has taken snaps at three different spots on the offensive line this week.

After taking snaps at tackle, guard, and even some at center, Dunker showcased his versatility and stated he is comfortable playing all three positions.

Most college offensive linemen are comfortable playing only one position, but Dunker taking snaps and succeeding at three positions can only help his draft stock.

With a funny quip during Senior Bowl media availability, Dunker said he is comfortable taking snaps anywhere on the offensive line, just don't ask him to catch a pass.

Dunker was a staple on the Iowa offensive line after redshirting his freshman season (2021), starting at both guard and tackle.

During his senior season, Dunker started all 13 games at tackle for the Hawkeyes, notching his 38th career start on the offensive line.

Whoever gets the privilege of drafting Dunker will be getting a finished product that can fill holes anywhere on the offensive line.
