The Iowa Football program continues to search for future talent ahead of the 2025-2026 season. The Hawkeyes are attempting to recruit future talent and build from within since the spring transfer portal window closed at the end of April.
Over the past few months, Iowa has added multiple talented players to its 2026 recruiting class, including three-star receiver prospect Diondre Smith, four-star offensive line prospect Gene Riordan, three-star defensive line prospect Sawyer Jezierski, and preferred walk-ons Isaiah Oliver and Noah Daniel.
Iowa lost 2026 quarterback prospect Cash Herrera following his de-commitment from the program and eventual signing with Indiana, but it will continue to retool and reload for the 2026 season.
Over the weekend, the Hawkeyes added another talented defensive prospect to the 2026 class.

2026 defensive back prospect Ronnie Hill announced his commitment to Iowa following a successful camp last week. After attending the camp, Hill was waiting for an offer from the Hawkeyes and immediately accepted once he was offered.
247 Sports ranked Hill as a three-star prospect, Michigan's No. 20 prospect, and the No. 1,223 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. He is unranked by ESPN, On3 Sports, and Rivals.
According to On3 Sports' Blair Sanderson, Hill's decision was easy after Defensive Coordinator Phil Parker called him to make an offer on Sunday. Parker was impressed by Hill's versatility and immediately made him an offer.
Hill noted that if you want to be the best, you have to be coached by the best, and Coach Parker is one of the best.
