After receiving bad news that 2026 quarterback recruit Cash Herrera was decommitting from the program, the Hawkeyes immediately returned to recruiting.
Iowa has a talented 2026 recruiting class, led by three highly ranked offensive lineman prospects, but their overall class has not received a high grade.
On3 Sports ranked Iowa's 2026 recruiting class as No. 12 in the Big Ten and No. 33 overall, while 247 Sports ranked Iowa's class lower at No. 16 in the Big Ten and No. 54 overall.
The Hawkeyes continue to add depth for their 2026 recruiting class, adding two in-state prospects as preferred walk-ons.
