At the end of May, Isaiah Oliver, the son of former Hawkeye basketball player Dean Oliver, was still looking for offers from a Power Four football program. Oliver is a good all-around athlete, but has not received any offers from big programs.
Oliver has received football offers from Northern Iowa, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota, and South Dakota State, but is still looking for a bigger offer.
Last season for Waukee Northwest High School, Oliver tallied 436 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 36 receptions.
On Friday, Oliver announced he received a preferred walk-on offer from a Power Four program.

After attending a football camp earlier this week, Oliver received a preferred walk-on offer from the Iowa Hawkeyes. He will also attend camps at Iowa State and Northern Illinois this month.
Oliver is a gifted athlete who plays basketball, football, and runs track for the Waukee Northwest Wolves. He runs the 100-yard dash in 11.36 seconds and has hit 23.5 inches on his long jump.
Oliver also plays AAU basketball with Iowa United where he is coached by his father Dean.
When he is not playing basketball, he plays pick-up or seven-on-seven football to always stay in football shape.
Oliver's offer from the Hawkeyes is the first he has received from a Power Four program ahead of his senior year at Waukee Northwest.
Hawkeye Football continues to prepare for the upcoming college football season and has remained active on the recruiting trail for 2026 and beyond. Iowa begins the 2026 season on August 30 at home against UAlbany.
