During the offseason, Jan Jensen and the Iowa Women's Basketball program are active on the recruiting trail. After adding a talented 2025 class to the roster for next season, Jensen and her staff are actively trying to fill future roster gaps.
Over the past few months, the Hawkeyes have secured a meeting with 2026 four-star prospect GiGi Battle, have offered the 2027 No. 1 and No. 2 overall prospects, Kaleena Smith and Ivanna Wilson Manyacka, the No. 24 overall prospect Madi Mignery, and the No. 44 overall prospect Destiny Manyawu.
During the first week of summer workouts, the Hawkeyes made an offer to 2028 guard prospect who had a stellar freshman season.

Leah DeWitt, a five-foot-nine combo guard from Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia, announced she received an offer from the Hawkeye program after speaking with Jensen.
During her first season last year, DeWitt played on the varsity team, and slowly became one of the best players on the team and in the country.
After averaging 25.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a freshman, DeWitt was nominated for the Georgia Women's Basketball Player of the Year award.
After a stellar first season for the Lady Blue Devils, DeWitt has already received over 10 offers from college programs, including the Hawkeyes.
DeWitt is focused on playing college basketball following graduation and wants to sign with a top sports brand.
She is coached by her father, Derrick DeWitt, and has played basketball since she was two.
If DeWitt stays healthy and improves on her impressive high school basketball resume, she will be one of the top prospects in the 2028 recruiting class.
