Iowa Women's Basketball continues to go after top talent for future recruiting classes. Over the past few weeks, they have focused on the 2027 recruiting class, making offers to multiple top prospects in that class.

On June 3, Jan Jensen and her staff made an offer to he 2027 No. 2 overall prospect Ivanna Wilson Manyacka. Manyacka is a talented prospect who excelled last season for the Bullis School in Maryland and internationally.

She averaged 18.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game for Bullis and won a gold medal at the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Leon, Mexico, in 2024.

The Hawkeyes also made offers to Florida's No. 1 prospect (No. 24 overall), Madi Mignery, and the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2027 class, Kaleena Smith, from California.

As the Hawkeyes continue their focus on the 2027 recruiting class, they made an offer to a top forward prospect with a familiar last name.

2027 forward prospect Desiny Manyawu announced she received an offer from Iowa Women's Basketball after conversing with the program.

Destiny is the younger sister of current Hawkeye Men's Basketball player Cam Manyawu.

Destiny is a six-foot-three, 2027 prospect who attends Staley High School in Kansas City, Missouri. 247 Sports ranked Manyawu as a four-star prospect, Missouri's No. 1 prospect, and the No. 34 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

After offering Manyawu, the Hawkeyes will battle with multiple programs for her services. On3 Sports noted that over 20 programs have offered her, including rival Iowa State, and Big Ten foes Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

If the Hawkeyes can convince Manyawu to join the program, she gives the Hawkeyes another talented forward who can make an immediate impact.
