New Iowa Men's Basketball Head Coach Ben McCollum had to rebuild the roster after taking over the program. After taking over the program, three 2025 prospects and the only 2026 prospect decommitted from the program.

McCollum and his staff added three players to the 2025 recruiting class, including 2025 Iowa Mr. Basketball Trevin Jirak, McCollum's oldest son, Peyton McCollum, and Tate Sage.

The program has also offered 2026 four-star prospect Tristan Reed and three-star prospect Quinn Costello to bolster their 2026 recruiting class.

Over the weekend, the Hawkeyes made an offer to a 2027 sharpshooting guard prospect from Missouri.

It was announced that 2027 four-star guard prospect Chase Branham will visit Iowa City on Monday following an offer from the Men's Basketball program.

Branham is a talented guard prospect who can shoot from anywhere on the court. He currently plays for Logan-Rogersville High School in Logan-Rogersville, Missouri.

Last season, Branham averaged 19.2 points per game on an impressive 61.9 percent shooting. As a freshman, he averaged 17.9 points per game.

Branham is also a star on the AAU circuit where he plays for KC Run GMC.

On3 Sports ranked Branham as a four-star recruit, Missouri's No. 5 prospect, and the No. 85 oveall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

Ahead of his junior season, Branham has offers from Indiana, Kansas State, and Missouri, in addition to his offer from Iowa.

Branham is a six-foot-four, 165-pound combo guard prospect who can effectively score from anywhere on the floor. He is the type of guard McCollum loves to recruit, and the Hawkeyes hope they can add him to the 2027 recruiting class.
