The No. 23 Iowa Hawkeyes wrapped up the 2025 season with an eye-opening victory over No. 14 Vanderbilt.
The Hawkeyes took the lead after a touchdown on their first possession of the game and never looked back as they knocked off the Commodores 34-27 in Tampa.
The end of the ReliaQuest Bowl officially marked the start of Iowa's preparation for next season, as over 25 seniors and graduates will be leaving the program, as well as players entering via the transfer portal.
We have all your essential information on Iowa's transfer portal window below.
Transfer portal information
The transfer portal opened at 12:01 a.m on January 2 and remains open until Janaury 16.
This year's transfer portal differs from last year's because it has only one window, not a winter and spring window.
There is an exception for players who are participating in the postseason, giving players who play past January 12 an extra five days to make a decision.
This will be constantly updated following additions and subtractions

Analysis
Except for losing starting punter Rhys Dakin and starting DB Koen Entringer, the Hawkeyes have not lost too many players to the portal through the early stages of the January window.
The Hawkeyes have a lot of young talent on the roster, but most of the players are unproven.
The most significant area of need for the Hawkeyes is on the defensive line after losing Max Llewellyn, Aaron Graves, and Ethan Hurkett to graduation.
The next biggest area of need is at the wide receiver position.
After the first nine days of the transfer portal window, Kirk Ferentz and his staff have COOKED in the portal, signing a whopping 11 players, including multiple talented wide receivers.
The program has definitely improved, and next season should be exciting.
