After the Iowa Women's Basketball program secured the commitment of top 2026 prospect McKenna Woliczko, the wins keep coming for the program on the recruiting trail.
Woliczko, the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, is one of the biggest recruiting wins for the Hawkeyes' program, and she wants to be a recruiter for the program in the future.
Before she has played a game for the Hawkeyes, Woliczko stated she wants to recruit other players to join her in Iowa City, including fellow top 2026 prospect and friend Addison Bjorn.
Bjorn has played with Woliczko on Team USA and stated that Bjorn is definitely someone she wants to play with in the future.
If talented players like Woliczko picked the Hawkeyes, it would set the stage for other top prospects to make the move to Iowa City as well.
Before her official visit to Iowa City, another top 2026 prospect, Amari Byles, has narrowed her preferred destinations list from 15 to six.

In September, it was announced that Byles had scheduled an official visit to Iowa City, which will take place at the end of October. Ahead of her official visit, Iowa is on her top-six list of preferred destinations.
Byles is a highly coveted forward prospect in the 2026 recruiting class due to her versatility, and ability to play either the small forward or power forward position.
Rivals currently ranks Byles as a four-star prospect, Texas's No. 3 overall prospect, the No. 1 power forward prospect, and the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
247Sports currently ranks Byles as a four-star prospect, Texas's No. 3 overall prospect, the No. 8 power forward prospect, and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
If Iowa adds Bjorn and Byles, they will be set up for a deep postseason run in 2026 and beyond.
