The Iowa Women's Basketball program has been diligently preparing for the 2025-2026 college basketball season, but it has not signed any prospects to its 2026 recruiting class.
Head Coach Jan Jensen and her staff have offered multiple talented prospects in the class, but as the months go by, they have not received any commitments.
As it gets later in the recruiting cycle, more top prospects are coming off the board, including three of the top five prospects in the class.
The program is waiting with bated breath for another top 2026 prospect, McKenna Woliczko, as she is set to announce her college decision on October 1, with Iowa in her top four.
Even though the program has not received any commitments for its 2026 class, Iowa received some good news after another top 2026 prospect added Iowa to her top seven list of final destinations.
5⭐️ recruit Addison Bjorn (6’2” W | ranked #13 in the Class of 2026) has narrowed down her list of schools to 7, according to @247Sports:

Addison Bjorn, a six-foot-two forward prospect from Riverside, Missouri, narrowed her preferred destinations list down to seven, with Iowa making the final cut.
According to Brandon Clay, Director of Scouting for women's basketball at 247Sports, Bjorn is a versatile forward who can guard multiple positions on the defensive end.
Not only is Bjorn a versatile player, but she has experience with Team USA, having captured three gold medals.
Bjorn is a dynamic scorer in the pain, but still lacks a consistent jump shot from the perimeter. Her strength is in the paint and on the defensive end of the floor.
Bjorn continues to rise on recruiting boards and has received multiple offers from top college basketball programs, including Iowa.
247 Sports Composite Ranking has Bjorn as a five-star prospect, Missouri's No. 1 prospect, the No. 2 small forward prospect, and the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
Rivals' industry ranking has Bjorn as a five-star prospect, Missouri's No. 1 prospect, the No. 6 shooting guard prospect, and the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
If Bjorn commits to the Hawkeye program, it would give Iowa a significant advantage over the competition. If McKenna Woliczko also commits to the Hawkeyes, Iowa will have a new dynamic duo for years in Iowa City.
