As we get closer to college basketball season, multiple future prospects have locked in official visits to Iowa City.

The Hawkeye program attracts top talent every year as Jan Jensen and her staff continue pushing for success in the post-Caitlin Clark era.

The program is in good hands with talented freshmen Addie Deal, Layla Hays, and Journey Houston joining the squad this season, but they gave not received any committmenets for their 2026 recruiting class.

Over the past several weeks, multiple prospects have scheduled official visits to Iowa City, and two more top 2026 prospects locked in visits on Tuesday.

Amari Byles, forward (Dallas, Texas)

No official dates have been released for 2026 prospect Amari Byles, but she does have the Hawkeyes on her list of scheduled visits this fall.

According to 247Sports' Dushawn London, Byles has locked in six official visits, including one to Iowa City.

Byles is a versatile player who excels in the paint, but can also shoot the three-point shot well enough to keep opponents on their toes.

According to 247Sports' director of women's basketball scouting, Brandon Clay, Byles is playing at a high level and can operate effectively at either forward position.

Her ability to be effective in the lane has multiple college teams pursuing her on the recruiting trail.

247Sports has ranked Byles as a four-star prospect, Texas' No. 3 overall prospect, the No. 8 power forward prospect, and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

Rivals has ranked Byles as a four-star prospect, Texas' No. 3 overall prospect, the No. 1 small forward prospect, and the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

Vienna Murray, guard (Woodbury, Minnesota)

Another talented guard prospect has locked in an official visit with the Iowa Women's Basketball program.

2026 guard prospect Vienna Murray told On3 Sports' Kyle Huesmann that she has scheduled a visit to the Iowa program on September 20.

Murray received an offer from Iowa in July, and has now set an official visit to the program.

According to Hawkeyes Wire, Murray had a stellar junior season for East Ridge High School last season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 steals, and 2.7 assists per game.

Jr. All-Star Basketball has ranked Murray as the No. 50 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, and On3 Sports has ranked her as a four-star prospect.

Both players would give the Hawkeye program an immediate boost in the 2026 recruiting class.
