The transfer portal window has come and gone, and after 15 days, the chaos finally slowed down.

Luckily for the program, Ben McCollum only lost one player to the transfer portal (Alvaro Folgueiras) and four players overall.

The Hawkeyes added transfers Ty'Reek Coleman and Andrew McKeever, while impressively retaining 10 players from last season. They also added Ethan Harris in the 2026 recruiting class, bringing the 2026-2027 roster to 13 players.

After minimal changes to the roster, Iowa looks ready to make another run next season, and Ben McCollum raved about his new transfer point guard.

Ty'Reek Coleman is exactly what Ben McCollum was looking for

Iowa made only two signings from the portal, but they were massive for the program.

McKeever brings size, rebounding, and an interior presence that Iowa has not had for many years, while Coleman brings a solid two-way guard that can score and defend at a high level.

Everyone knows how important solid guard play is to McCollum, and he is excited to get Coleman on campus this summer.

McCollum is encouraged by Coleman's ability to get to the basket and believes he will be a weapon in the pick-and-roll game.

McCollum is also impressed by the way Coleman pressures the ball on defense, thanks to his strength and quickness, and he is "really excited" to integrate him into the program.

Coleman has some big shoes to fill after star guard Bennett Stirtz heads to the NBA, but his huge upside and three years of remaining eligibility are huge for the program.

The program got a good one, and excitement is building for next season.
