Wins are coming in bunches for the Hawkeyes on the recruiting trail.
Over the past week, Iowa has added three talented players to the 2027 recruiting class, including two-way prospect Jake Theis and offensive line prospects Reilly Newman and Nate Brenneman.
With three players committing over the last week, the push continued after the program earned an important commitment from a legacy prospect with tremendous upside.
Iowa's recruiting wins continued after adding four-star DL Tommy Riordan
A big part of the 2026 recruiting class was four-star prospect Gen Riordan. Riordan, a Hinsdale, Illinois native, was one of seven four-star recruits in Iowa's loaded 2026 class, and now his younger brother wants to join the party.

Legacy prospect Tommy Riordan is following his brother to Iowa City, giving the Hawkeyes some much-needed depth on the defensive line.
Riordan is the seventh prospect to commit to the Iowa program in the 2027 recruiting class, boosting Iowa's national ranking to No. 25 overall (No. 8 in the Big Ten).
Riordan is a very intriguing prospect who has sneaky athleticism for his size. He has a 35" vertical, and an 80" wingspan and has the ability to play inside or outside on the defensive line.
Iowa earned a big recruiting win, stealing Riordan away from rival Big Ten programs Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
The Hawkeyes have had solid defensive line play over the past few seasons, but they have not had a real difference maker on the line since AJ Epenesa headed to the NFL.
Riordan gives them a raw prospect with a lot of upside who should compete for snaps at one of the edge positions when he gets to Iowa City.
