Iowa's 2027 recruiting class is starting to take shape, as the program has now locked up two prospects in three days.
The program got some great news from the recruiting trail near the beginning of spring practice after 2027 two-way prospect Jake Theis announced he is joining the program.
Theis gives the Iowa program a playmaker on either side of the ball, and just a few days later, they are getting another one on the offensive line.

Newman is a massive human being, standing at six-foot-six and weighing 285 pounds, and he gives Iowa yet another potential star on the offensive line.
Newman has size and strength similar to recent Iowa offensive lineman Gennings Dunker, who wowed NFL scouts and executives with
Newman is currently an offensive lineman for Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio, and Iowa "checked all the boxes for him."
He told On3 Sports' Blair Sanderson that Iowa has a great coaching staff and an environment unlike anywhere else.
Newman has all the physical traits and athletic ability that the Iowa program often attracts, and he gives offensive line coach George Barnett another weapon to deploy on the traditionally stout offensive line.
Rivals currently ranks Newman as a three-star prospect, Ohio's No. 20 overall prospect, and the No. 44 offensive tackle prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
