After a stellar season for the Hawkeyes last year, there was no guarantee that Logan Jones would return to the program.

Every Hawkeye fan is thanking their lucky stars that he ultimately decided to return.

Jones was the anchor for the offensive line unit that finished as a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award last season, and he had some unfinished business this season.

Jones was the unquestioned leader of the offensive line this season and surpassed what he did last season.

After the regular season wrapped up with a dominating win over rival Nebraska in Lincoln, Jones earned the Rimington Trophy and was part of the offensive line unit that earned the Joe Moore Award.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the best center in college football, while the Joe Moore Award is given to the best offensive line unit in college football.

After finishing the season with a solid win over No. 14 Vanderbilt, Jones reflected on his time with the Iowa program and had nothing but good things to say.

During a portion of his postgame media availability (posted by "The Hawkeye Report"), Jones says it was awesome to finish up his career that way, and some of the best years of his life have been spent in Iowa City.

He was extremely appreciative of Head Coach Kirk Ferentz and offensive line coach George Barnett, stating that people do not understand just how great they are.

Jones also said that he has tried to enjoy every moment that he has been in Iowa City because everyone at the University is "so awesome."

It will definitely be different next season without Jones snapping the ball, and he has been a great player and ambassador for the Iowa football program.
