Throw out all the preseason accolades and the overall success of the Iowa offensive line. Center Logan Jones is having the most fun he's ever had.
The Iowa offense had high expectations in year two under offensive coordinator Tim Lester, and although they have not leaped as high as most people thought they would, the overall numbers have improved.
Although being ranked No. 130 in passing offense (133.6 yards per game) and No. 116 in total offense (310.2 yards per game) may not stand out, they have vastly improved since the days of Brian Ferentz.
The Hawkeyes also continue to run the ball effectively, ranking No. 44 overall in rushing yards per game (176.6).
The biggest reason the Hawkeyes can run the ball so effectively is the stellar play by the big men up front on the offensive line.
The offensive line, anchored by Logan Jones in the center, is a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award once again, and Jones is cherishing every moment he has had with the group and the team.

"They're a special group. This has been the most fun I've had, despite the losses, just the most together group I've been a part of."

After another tough loss to USC, Jones became emotional when discussing his feelings about the squad this year.
He stated that, despite all the losses, this is the "most fun" he has ever had, and the group is the "most together group" he has ever been a part of.
The Hawkeyes have not gotten many breaks this season, and all four of their losses have come by a combined 15 points.
Despite the all the loss and the heartbreak, Jones is relishing every moment with this group of guys.
