Jan Jensen and her staff continue pushing to add talented players to the roster before next season, and the process hasn't been easy.
After losing nine players from last year's roster, the clock is ticking for the program to continue adding players while also setting a foundation for future success.
One seems to be the magic number for the Hawkeyes, with one player joining the squad via the 2026 recruiting class (McKenna Woliczko), and one player currently committed in the 2027 recruiting class (Jada Seubert).
With how depleated the roster currently is, Jensen has to hit the recruiting trail hard to avoid relying to heavily on the transfer portal, and she has by offering one of the top Missouri prospects in the 2028 class.
Bridget Fitzgerald has athleticism and inside presence to be exactly what Iowa needs
Having multiple versatile forwards who can shoot and defend at a high level is never a bad thing, and with Woliczko already joining the program, Jensen might have found next in line.

2028 forward prospect Bridget Fitzgerald announced she received an offer from Iowa, adding to her growing list of offers.
Fitzgerald is a solid two-way player who excels at jumping passing lanes for steals and using her length and athleticism to come up with poke-aways and deflections.
Fitzgerald also gets to the basket with ease, using her speed and solid ball-handling skills, and she can finish at the rim with either hand.
She does most of her damage from the interior or mid-range, but she also proved she can stretch the defense beyond the arc and knock down three-pointers.
Fitzgerald's versatility would be a huge asset to the program, and Jensen must continue to prioritize her recruitment.
Prep Girls Hoops currently ranks Fitzgerald as Missouri's No. 2 overall prospect in the 2028 recruiting class.
