The future looks bright in Iowa City for the Iowa Women's Basketball program, even though the roster is looking a little thin right now.

Jan Jensen and the program picked up two massive transfer portal signings in Dani Carnegie and Amari Whiting.

They are also adding elite prospect McKenna Woliczko from the 2026 recruiting class.

After three big additions, the roster sits at eight players, with plenty of roster-building to do for Jan Jensen and her staff.

Even with the roster currently at eight, Hawkeye fans can rejoice that one of the best shooters in high school basketball is joining the program in 2027.

2027 commit Jada Seubert is already proving why she will make an immediate impact

Iowa hasn't had a dynamic offensive player who can score at all three levels since the GOAT Caitlin Clark left for the WNBA in 2024, but that could all change very quickly.

McKenna Woliczko can score at all three levels, but is more efficient in the paint. 2027 commit Jada Seubert is the true definition of an elite scorer, and she showcased it in her first game on the Adidas 3Stripes Select Basketball Circuit over the weekend.

Seubert was hitting everything against Fam Hoops, showcasing her ability to not only get to the rim with ease, but also hit jumpers off the dribble and knock down long-range shots from almost anywhere on the court.

Seubert currently plays for Wisconsin's Purple Aces on the circuit and continues to prove why she is one of, if not the best, shooters in the class.

As a sophomore at Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH), Seubert averaged 21.4 points on 46 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc. She also added 4.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and an incredible 4.3 steals per game.
