Jan Jensen's revolving program door stays open as another player plans to enter the transfer portal.
After a disappointing double OT loss to Virginia in the Round of 32, a mass exodus from the program has begun.
The women's basketball program is not used to this much turnover, as players traditionally have stayed very loyal to the program. Still, thanks to expanded opportunities and no limits on transfers, college basketball is in a whole new era.
The program has already lost guards Kennise Johnson and Addie Deal, and now the roster looks even leaner after another guard announced plans to leave the program.
Sophomore guard Callie Levin plans to enter the transfer portal
The transfer portal does not officially open until April 7, but it is already filling up with players from across Iowa, including the former 2024 Miss Iowa Basketball.

According to 247Sports Hawkeye Insider David Eickholt, reserve guard Callie Levin announced she plans to enter the transfer portal when it officially opens on April 7.
Levine was a decorated high school player for Solon High School in Solon, Iowa, scoring 1,984 career points. During her senior year, Levine averaged 22.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 4.8 steals per game en route to earning the 2024 Miss Iowa Basketball award.
Levin was seldom used during her first two seasons with the Hawkeyes and is now looking for another opportunity elsewhere.
Ultra-talented forward McKenna Woliczko is Iowa's only committed prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, so Jan Jensen and her staff will have to do some work in the transfer portal.
After Levin's announcement, that makes three Iowa players in the last two days who have decided to enter the transfer portal.
