That loss is going to sting for some time.
Iowa narrowly escaped Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round, and its luck finally ran out against Virginia in the Round of 32.
Iowa's shooting struggles popped up yet again, as they made only five of 29 three-pointers and shot 37 percent from the field and lost 83-75 to Virginia in double OT.
For the seniors, this loss cuts their college playing careers short, and a visibly upset Kylie Feuerbach choked back tears as she talked about what the Iowa program has meant to her.
Feuerbach has "loved every second here"
Feuerbach got to spend an extra season with the program, notching sixth season overall in college basketball, and she could not stop the tears from coming after the heartbreaking loss.
"I've loved every second here."

Kylie Feuerbach and Hannah Stuelke played their final game in a Hawkeye uniform, but they say they were grateful for all the memories at Iowa.https://t.co/Wnhstl6NKd pic.twitter.com/1BtP0EUPqT
Not only was Feuerbach extremely grateful for her time with the program, but she does not want the upset loss to define her time in Iowa City.
She also said there have been a lot of highs, and she will remember those more than she will the bad times.
Losses like the one they suffered against Virginia hurt in the moment, especially when it effectively ended the Iowa careers of Kylie, Hannah Stuelke, Taylor McCabe, and Jada Gyamfi.
Luckily for the Hawkeyes, they have a very young core that made great strides last season, and they have nothing to hang their heads about.
They were not expected to be this good this fast, with Ava Heiden taking the huge leap forward that she did this season.
Kylie's emotional postgame comments make this loss hurt even more, but hopefully, they can grow from it and learn.
Iowa now heads into the offseason way sooner than anyone expected.
