As we dive deeper into award season, every nomination list is chock-full of Hawkeyes.
Iowa finished the season with an 8-4 overall record and was a few plays away from a potentially undefeated season and a trip to the College Football Playoff.
Still, 8-4 is not bad and multiple Hawkeyes have earned recognition for Iowa's solid season.
The AP recently named five Iowa players to its first and second All-Big Ten teams, including Aaron Graves (second-team), Beau Stephens (first-team), Gennings Dunker (second-team), Kaden Wetjen (first-team), and Logan Jones (first-team).
Wetjen was also named a First-Team All-American selection by CBS Sports.
The award nominations have also been pouring in for the offensive line, with the unit named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award and Jones named a finalist for the Rimington Trophy and for the Outland Trophy.
With all the nominations, you would think Jones would be a sure First-Team All-American, right? According to CBS Sports, that isn't the case.

CBS Sports named Miami Hurricanes' center James Brockermeyer as its selection for First-Team All-American over Logan Jones.
While Miami had a solid year overall, including allowing the first quarterback pressures in college football, Brockermeyer is not even a finalist for the Rimington, given to the best center in college football.
Jones has also guided the Hawkeyes' offense to four games of 200-plus rushing yards and helped quarterback Mark Gronowski rush for 495 yards and 15 touchdowns, both program records.
The Iowa offense also averaged 177.8 rushing yards per game (No. 45 overall), compared to Miami's 150.0 rushing yards per game (No. 77 overall).
The offensive line is also a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive unit in college football, so CBS Sports' selection needs to be flipped.
Brockermeyer had a solid season for the Hurricanes, but you cannot convince me he had a better season than Jones.
Maybe the deciding factor was that Brockermeyer's father, Blake, is a CBS Sports college football analyst? Regardless, this seems like a clear snub.
