The spotlight continues to grow for potential future star McKenna Woliczko.
Woliczko is one of the top overall prospects in the 2026 recruiting class (ranked No. 5 overall) and committed to the Hawkeye program last October.
Since returning from ACL and meniscus injuries she suffered last season, Woliczko is compiling accolades left and right.
She was added to the Team USA roster for the upcoming Nike Hoops Summit this fall and made the Naismith Player of the Year Midseason Team.
The accolades are not stopping for the future Iowa star, who recently earned another prestigious distinction.
Woliczko was named a 2026 McDonald's All-American selection
Even though Woliczko has played in only 10 games following her injury rehab, she is still turning heads and can now add McDonald's All-American to her growing list of amateur achievements.

Woliczko is the latest future Hawkeye to earn the coveted McDonald's All-American distinction, joining Addie Deal (2025), Caitlin Clark (2020), Samantha Logic (2011), Johanna Solverson (2002), and Lindsay Richards (2002).
McKenna is slowly rounding into form after missing a year and a half due to injuries, and through 10 games of her senior year, she is averaging 20.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for Archbishop Mitty.
She is also shooting 66.7 percent from the field and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line.
The 2026 McDonald's All-American game takes place on March 31 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, and Woliczko will suit up for the West team.
Iowa fans cannot wait to see Woliczko in Iowa City and will get their first chance to watch her in action on March 31 in Glendale at the annual McDonald's All-American game.
