New Iowa Coach Ben McCollum is diligently building his coaching staff ahead of the 2025-2026 college basketball season, which begins the first week of November.

During the offseason, McCollum added seven new staff members, including Josh Sash, Bryston Williams, Connor Wheeler, Luke Barnwell, Jesse Shaw, Xavier Kurth, and Jaran Richman.

Five new coaches (Sash, Williams, Wheeler, Shaw, and Kurth) worked with McCollum at Drake. They helped McCollum guide Drake to a program-record 31 wins, including Missouri Valley Conference regular season and conference titles.

On Thursday, McCollum announced another addition to his staff.

Iowa Native Logan Ogden joined McCollum's staff as the new Director of Athletic Performance.

Before joining the coaching ranks, the What Cheer, Iowa, native was a star for Northwest College in Orange, Iowa. He was a two-sport athlete, participating in football and track and field.

Ogden was a six-time GPAC All-Conference selection in track and field and a two-time selection in football.

Ogden has 14 years of experience and spent the last four seasons (2021-2024) as the director of strength and conditioning for the Utah Utes Men's Basketball program.

He has also made stops as a director at Utah State (2018-2021) and Nebraska-Omaha (2015-2021). He was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Augustana University (2013-2015) and a graduate assistant at South Dakota State (2011-2013).

Ogden graduated from Northwest College in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in exercise science and earned a Master's in nutrition, food science, and exercise from South Dakota State in 2014.

Ogden is the eighth addition to McCollum's staff ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
