It has been a busy sumer for Iowa Women's Basketball forward Hannah Stuelke.

After helping the Hawkeyes achieve a seventh-consecutive trip to the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, Stuelke traveled to Colombia to take part in the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup Tournament with Team USA.

Stuelke made the squad following three days of trials.

Stuelke and Team USA cruised to a gold medal in the tournament, and she was a valuable asset coming off the bench for the squad.

She averaged 5.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for Team USA and returned to Iowa City with a gold medal.

After returning from South America, Stuelke has been re-acclimating to Iowa Basketball and her teammates as she looks to become a more prominent leader for the squad during her senior season.

Ahead of her senior season with the Iowa program, Stuelke earned a preseason award nomination.

Before the 2025-2026 season, Stuelke has been named a preseason All-Big Ten selection.

Stuelke's point production dropped from 14.0 per game in 2023 to 12.7 last season, due to the emergence of star guard Lucy Olsen. However, she set career highs in rebounds (7.7) and assists per game (2.2).

Stuelke has the size (six-foot-two) and rebounding ability to play the center position, but is more aptly suited to play the power forward position.

This season, the Hawkeyes have more frontcourt size with Ava Heiden (six-foot-four) and Layla Hays (six-foot-five), so Stuelke can move back to her normal forward position.

Head Coach Jan Jensen is excited about the size they have at all positions, and stated they will play bigger lineups at times this season.

For the Hawkeyes to succeed, Stuelke must return to her 2023 form and be aggressive on the glass and in the paint.
