Iowa Women's Basketball forward Hannah Stuelke continues adding to her trophy case. Stuelke had a solid 2024-2025 campaign for the Hawkeyes, averaging 12.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a starter.
Her offensive numbers declined from her sophomore to junior year, including points per game (from 14.0 to 12.9) and field goal percentage (from 62.7 percent to 49.8 percent), but she had a solid season.
The decline in her offense can be attributed to the emergence of star transfer Lucy Olsen and Head Coach Jan Jensen's spread-out offensive scheme.
After the 2024-2025 season, Stuelke was named a Second Team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection by the media.
At the beginning of June, Stuelke was invited to participate in USA team trials for the upcoming AmeriCup Tournament. On Thursday, she learned whether or not she was selected.

Stuelke was selected for the roster and joins 13 other players for the 202 FIBA Women's AmeriCup in Santiago, Chile, from June 28 to July 6. Stuelke joins fellow Iowan Audi Crooks (Iowa State) as first-time players for Team USA.
Duke Women's Basketball Head Coach Kara Lawson will coach Team USA, which will play in Group B. Group B includes the USA, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
The winner of the AmeriCup Tournament will earn a berth in the FIBA Women's World Cup, which will take place in Berlin, Germany, next summer.
Since the tournament began in 1993, Team USA has succeeded, capturing four AmeriCup gold medals, the last of which came in 2021.
