After a slow start, senior Hannah Stuelke is proving why she was named to the preseason Naismith Award Watchlist.
The Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native has often taken a backseat to rising star center Ava Heiden, but her cent stretch of play showcases that she is also a force to be reckoned with.
Through 18 games this season, Stuelke is second on the team in scoring (14.2 points per game) and first on the team in rebounding (8.5 rebounds per game), and her recent stretch of play earned her some hardware.

Stuelke has been on fire lately, filling up the stat sheet against Indiana, Oregon, and in Iowa's most recent game against Michigan.
She notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a gritty 56-53 win over Indiana in Bloomington.
She followed that up with another solid performance against Oregon, putting up 18 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in a 74-66 victory over the Ducks.
She capped off her stellar week of play by notching 22 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a 75-68 win over Michigan State.
Stuelke has seemingly found another level over this past week, showcasing everything in her arsenal, and that goes beyond just her scoring and rebounding.
She has shown her ability to be an effective passer from her post position, allowing the Hawkeyes to play inside-out more effectively.
The Hawkeyes have a challenging two-game stretch against No. 15 Maryland and No. 12 Ohio State coming up this week, and Stuelke and the rest of the squad will need to bring their A-game to stay undefeated in Big Ten Conference play.
