Former NFL punter turned controversial ESPN personality Pat McAfee might secretly be an Iowa Football fan, and we are here for it.

McAfee is one of the most popular figures in the media these days, and Iowa fans definitely recognized one of his most recent guests on the "Pat McAfee Show."

Former Hawkeye star and current Philadelphia Eagles DB Cooper DeJean was a guest on the McAfee show this week, and nothing but praise for Kirk Ferentz and how the Iowa football program is run.

Cooper DeJean praised the way Iowa prepared him for the NFL

One of the McAfee Show producers, Ty Schmit, an Iowa native and University of Iowa graduate, asked DeJean why Iowa players are so successful at the next level.

In a short response, DeJean perfectly summed up why Kirk Ferentz and company are the best in the business.

DeJean stated that the Iowa program is "run like an NFL organization," and he would not be the player he is today without the University of Iowa.

People who aren't from Iowa or don't attend the University feel some type of way about the Iowa program, but everyone close to the program knows how good Ferentz and his coaching staff are in player development.

DeJean, along with fellow Hawkeyes Tyler Linderbaum (Baltimore Ravens), Tristan Wirfs (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), and Jack Campbell (Detroit Lions), were all named Pro Bowl selections.

DeJean and Campbell were also named NFL All-Pro First-Team Selections.

In his first two seasons in the NFL, DeJean is a Super Bowl Champion and a First-Team All-Pro selection, further proving how good Iowa's development process is.

If a kid from small-town Odebolt, Iowa, can become an All-Pro, just imagine how good some of these four and five-star recruits that choose to go elsewhere could be?

Regardless of what anyone says, Iowa's program develops elite talent that is NFL-ready from day one.
