Iowa prepares players for the NFL, end of discussion.
Fans and media personalities get enamored with five-star recruits who light up college football, and rightly so, but something has to be said about the way the Iowa program has consistently produced NFL-ready talent.
In 27 years at the helm of the Hawkeyes, Kirk Ferentz has sent 94 players to the NFL, and the program currently has 28 active players on NFL rosters, one of the highest numbers among Power Four programs.
Of those 28 active players, two were recently named to NFL First-Team All-Pro selections.
From Iowa City to the NFL’s best.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean and Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell both earned First-Team All-Pro selections.
DeJean is in his second professional season and is most remembered for his pick-six on Patrick Mahomes in last year's Super Bowl.
This season, DeJean has been fully healthy and set new career highs across the board.
In 16 games played this season, DeJean has compiled 93 total tackles (64 solo, 39 assisted), two interceptions, and one forced fumble.
Former Hawkeye linebacker Jack Campbell is in his third professional season (all with the Lions) and has become one of the most prolific linebackers in the league.
In 17 games, Campbell has tallied 176 total tackles (89 solo, 87 assisted), five sacks, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
DeJean and the Eagles are preparing to battle the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wildcard Round on Sunday, January 11, and Campbell and the Lions are already in the offseason.
