Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean might not have been a household name before Super Bowl LIX, but fans around the world will always remember his pick-six against Patrick Mahomes in the big game.

Before joining the Philadelphia Eagles' organization, DeJean, a native of Odebolt, Iowa, was a star for the Hawkeyes on defense and special teams. DeJean used his freak athleticism to make an impact wherever he was played.

In three seasons for the Hawkeyes, DeJean accumulated 120 total tackles (85 solo, 35 assisted), 13 pass breakups, and seven interceptions, including a program record three pick-sixes in one season.

He was also dynamic on punt returns, tallying over 400 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons. He also should have had one more touchdown that was called back on a horrible missed call by the referees in a loss to Minnesota last season.

DeJean had to wait to get into his first NFL game after the Eagles selected him with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft due to an injury.

When he burst onto the scene in week six against the Cleveland Browns, he helped guide a staunch Eagles' defense to a Super Bowl win.

Over the weekend, at an Eagles "green carpet" event, the Eagles received their Super Bowl rings.

Not only does DeJean look great with that giant rock on his hand, but he was also pictured wearing a custom suit that had a picture of his iconic pick-six against Mahomes.

At only 22 years old, DeJean has already made his mark on the Super Bowl and is a Super Champion in his first season at the professional level.

If he continues improving, the sky is the limit for the former Hawkeye and Iowa native.
