What can't Megan Gustafson do?

Before there was Caitlin Clark, Gustafson was considered to be the best women's basketball player in Iowa history as she shattered records and dominated the college game.

Gustafson played for the Hawkeyes from 2015 to 2019 and was a dominating force for Lisa Bluder and the Iowa program.

During her first season in Iowa City, Gustafson was a solid reserve player, averaging 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game in 33 games (14 starts).

After becoming a full-time starter the next season, Gustafson increased her scoring output every season, and never looked back.

For her career, she averaged 20.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game and became a second-round pick of the Dallas Wings in the 2019 WNBA Draft.

It took Gutsafson a while to find her place in the WNBA, playing for three separate franchises, including Dallas (2019-2020), Washington (2021), and Phoenix (2022-2023), before spending time with Olympiacos Piraeus (2022-2023) in Greece and the London Lions (2023-2024) in the UK.

Gustafson is back stateside with the Las Vegas Aces, but recently released a children's book that focused on her time overseas.

As a small town Wisconsin native, Gustafson never saw herself playing professional sports, especially overseas, and was open about her anxiety as her travels took her to new places.

She documented her travels with her corgi, Pancake, and how her beloved pet became a calming force for her during her European travels.

Gustafson hopes the book helps calm children and adults the way Pancake helped calm her during times of uncertainty.

"Pancake's Passport" is the first book Gustafson has released with her new publishing company, "The Inspired Shelf," as she looks to tap into her more creative side alongside he professional basketball career.
