Legendary Iowa Women's Basketball Head Coach Lisa Bluder has been living it up in retirement. Following the 2023 college basketball season, Bluder rode off into the sunset following a second straight appearance in the NCAA Championship game.

After guiding the Hawkeyes to six-straight NCAA Tournament appearances (excluding in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and back-to-back National Title game appearances, Bluder retired from coaching with a 528-254 (262-145 Big Ten) record at Iowa.

Bluder coached some of the best players in college basketball including Caitlin Clark and Megan Gustafson, and once Clark graduated, Bluder decided it was time to go.

A year after retiring from coaching, Bluder returned to Iowa City multiple times, including for Clark's jersey retirement in February.

Bluder was also added as a Big Ten Network studio analyst during the 2025 Big Ten Women's Basketball tournament in March.

As she continues to enjoy her retirement, Bluder, alongside current Iowa Women's Basketball Head Coach Jan Jensen, were spotted in Chicago at a Cubs' game at Wrigley Field.

Jensen threw out the first pitch before the game while Bluder sang the seventh-inning stretch during a back-and-forth game at Wrigley.

Bluder and Jensen brought their good luck to Wrigley as the Cubs beat their rival Brewers 6-4 in a great game on a beautiful summer afternoon.

Even in retirement, Bluder continues to bring the magic to wherever she goes.

There is no telling where Bluder will pop up next, but all Iowa fans wish her well in retirement and hope she is living her best life.
