In a low-scoring gritty affair, No. 21 Iowa got the job done against Miami in Orlando.

The Hawkeyes traveled to Orlando for the WBCA State Farm Showcase and took on two very tough teams before returning to Iowa City.

Iowa overcame No. 7 Baylor with a late push in its first game of the showcase, and faced Miami (FL) in what was essentially a home game for the Hurricanes in its second game.

The Hawkeyes came out hot, and lead this game from start to finish in the win, but the late states of the game were not easy.

Iowa went ice cold on offense and did not make a basket in the final 8:30 of the game.

Miami got as close as two after being down 13 in the third quarter, but the Hawkeyes held them off to secure the 64-61 victory.

Ava Heiden had another big night, leading the team with 20 points and adding six rebounds. Hannah Stuelke added a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, with Taylor McCabe adding 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Hawkeyes continue to dominate down low

During any game this season, you can expect one of the Iowa post players to go off for a double-double.

Against Miami, it was Stuelke, but Heiden has also tallied three double-doubles already this season as the Hawkeyes continue to feed the post.

The Iowa offense goes inside to outside as Head Coach Jane Jensen loves to get paint touches on every possession.

Heiden (15.8 points, 8.8 rebounds), Stuelke (12.5 points, 8.3 rebounds), and freshman Layla Hays (9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds) are dominating the paint and giving Iowa the advantage down low.

Iowa is also averaging 51.8 rebounds per game, outrebounding its opponents by 16.8 per game.

Taylor Stremlow showed her versatility with Chit-Chat in the lineup

Starting point guard Chit-Chat Wright suffered an injury in the win over No. 7 Baylor and was not able to play against Miami.

Taylor Stremlow took her place in the starting lineup, and although she did not have a great shooting night, she filled up the stat sheet.

Stremlow tallied seven points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the win, while also adding two steals and a block.

Even though she struggled shooting, including missing all four of her three-point attempts, it was a solid all-around night for the Iowa sophomore.

Next game: Wednesday, November 26, versus Western Illinois at 6:30 p.m. Central Time
