The Hawkeyes are on their second and final bye week with a chance to rest, relax, and reevaluate.
Iowa has been on a hot streak, winning three straight games since losing a close 20-15 game against Indiana at Kinnick Stadium on September 27.
The Hawkeyes will use their week off to get healthy and prepare for the final four-game stretch of the season that includes matchups against Oregon, USC, Michigan State, and Nebraska.
While the Hawkeyes have mostly recovered from injuries over the last few weeks, multiple players are still dealing with lingering issues, including starting quarterback Mark Gronowski and linebacker Jaden Harrell.
The coaches also get time to evaluate the roster and see where they can add this season, and in the future.
This week, the Hawkeye program received some good news on the recruiting trail as a talented wide receiver prospect was impressed during his visit last weekend.

Iowa was on a list of programs that impressed former UCLA wide receiver commit Xavier Stinson after he reopened his recruitment.
After decommitting from the Bruins' program, Stinson has received considerable interest, but Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin have stood out to him so far.
Stinson has also not ruled out re-committing to UCLA after they have shown some life over the past few weeks.
During his junior season for Vero Beach High School in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, last year, Stinson tallied 740 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Stinson is currently finishing up his senior year for the Fighting Indians football program.
