Look out, WNBA: superstar Caitlin Clark is making her return. Clark has missed the last five games with a left quad injury and is set to return in Saturday's game against the New York Liberty.
Clark suffered the injury during a May 24 game against the Liberty. She posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists, but struggled with her shot. She shot 33 percent from the field and 18 percent from three-point range.
On the Monday following the game against the Liberty, the Indiana Fever announced their superstar suffered a left quad strain in the game and would miss at least two weeks.
When asked about the injury, Clark could not pinpoint when she suffered the injury, stating, "adrenaline covers up a lot in the heat of battle."
Before practice at the end of last week, Clark spoke to reporters about her rehab process and how she felt. She said she felt good and had made a lot of progress, but did not want to rush back.
A week later, Clark makes her return to the court.

On Friday, the Indiana Fever announced that Clark will return to action against the Liberty on Saturday. In a corresponding move, the organization announced it waived hardship acquisition Aarie McDonald.
Before suffering her injury, Clark led the Fever in points (19.0) and assists (9.3) per game. Her 9.3 assists per game still leads the WNBA.
Clark hopes to spark a lineup that struggled in her absence. The Fever went 2-3 in the five games she missed and has dropped to No. 7 in the WNBA Standings and No. 3 in the Eastern Conference.
If she can return to form, the Indiana Fever will be a dangerous team as the season progresses.
