On Saturday, Caitlin Clark and the new-look Indiana Fever hosted the 2024 WNBA Champion New York Liberty. The Fever lost a close game 90-88, but the game's big story was the injury to their star player.
Clark notched another double-double, tallying 18 points and 10 assists, but struggled with her shot for the second consecutive game. She shot 33 percent from the field and 18 percent from beyond the three-point line.
On Monday, the Indiana Fever announced that Clark suffered a left quadriceps injury during Saturday's game, which could have contributed to Clark's poor shooting over the past few games.
Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks.

Clark is expected to be out at least two weeks with the quad injury and will be re-evaluated within that time frame.
Clark has been extremely durable during her college career at Iowa and pro career with Indiana.
She played every game as she set the NCAA Women's all-time scoring record at Iowa and played every game during her rookie season with the Fever en route to winning the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award and earning an All-WNBA First Team selection.
CC started the season strong, averaging 19.0 points and a league-leading 9.3 assists per game before suffering the quad injury.
This is the second time Clark will be sidelined with a left quad injury after straining the same quad during the preseason. The injury initially caused her to sit out the Fever's first preseason matchup against the Washington Mystics.
The Fever travel to Baltimore to battle the Mystics on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. Central Time in their first matchup without Caitlin Clark.
