Iowa will be without their starting running back from week one for a pivotal Cy-Hawk matchup in Ames.
The Hawkeyes entered their first game against Albany on August 30 fully healthy and ready to battle the Great Danes at home for their first matchup of the season.
Before the game started, reserve offensive lineman Bryce George went down with an injury during pregame warmups and did not play in the game.
Starting running back Kamari Moulton (shoulder) was injured during Iowa's first offensive series and did not return.
Starting quarterback Mark Gronowski (cramps) also sustained a minor injury late in the third quarter and did not play for the rest of the game.
Gronowski stated during his postgame press conference that he would be ready to go this week, but after the week two depth chart was released, Moulton is not on it.

The running back depth chart lists Terrell Washington Jr. as the starter, Xavier Williams as the backup, and Jaziun Patterson as the No. 3 running back.
Sophomore right guard Cael Winter is also now listed as the backup right guard following Bryce George's injury.
Heading into a crucial Cy-Hawk matchup against Iowa State in Ames, losing Moulton is a significant blow to the Iowa backfield.
The Hawkeyes must lean on their trio of talented running backs in Moulton's absence, including week one star Xavier Williams.
Freshman Nathan McNeil could also see an expanded role with Moulton sidelined.
