During his postgame press conference following a 34-7 win over Albany on Saturday, Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz apologized for jinxing the team on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Ferentz stated they were lucky to come out of fall camp fully healthy, which is not usually the case.
After Saturday's win, three players were added to the injury report. Reserve offensive lineman Bryce George was injured during pregame warmups, while Mark Gronowski and Kamari Moulton were injured in-game.
Bryce George, offensive lineman
Bryce George joined the Hawkeyes as a transfer from Ferris State during the offseason. George was a star for DIII Ferris State and was projected to be a regular contributor for the offensive line this season.

During warmups, George suffered a freak injury, and had to be helped off the field. Ferentz stated during his postgame press conference that he felt bad for George because he is in his last year, and the injury looked bad.
Ferentz did not have more information on his injury, and it will be something to monitor going forward.
Kamari Moulton, running back

After the first series of the game, Moulton did not return to the game after suffering an apparent shoulder injury.
Moulton was listed as the starter on the first official depth chart that was released this week, but could only make it one drive before being sidelined for the rest of the game.

Mark Gronowski- Cramps
Kamari Moulton- Shoulder injury, not sure of severity
Bryce George- Elbow injury, also not sure of severity
The extent of his injury is unknown, but Ferentz stated that it "does not seem like the end of the world.
Mark Gronowski, quarterback

Gronowski entered Saturday's game with a lot of pressure on his shoulders to succeed in his first season with Iowa under center.
The results were not there during the first game, as he threw for only 44 yards and a touchdown, and he acknowledged that he needs to improve.
A concerning moment came in the third quarter after he scrambled for a touchdown. He was slow to get up and eventually made his way to the sidelines.
Backup Hank Brown entered the game late in the third quarter and closed out the game with Gronowski on the sidelines.
During his postgame press conference, Gronowski confirmed it was just cramps and he will be ready to go next week.
As the week progresses, the status of all three players will be closely monitored.
