A few days after the Iowa Women's Basketball season ended at the hands of Oklahoma, senior guard Lucy Olsen gained more recognition.
The Hawkeyes' season ended after a 96-62 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32. Olsen led the Hawkeyes with 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists in the losing effort.
Even though the season is over for the Hawkeyes, Olsen will get to represent the black and gold one last time.

Olsen will represent the Hawkeyes at the 2025 Women's All-Star Game on April 5 in Tampa Bay, Florida, and is sponsored by Intersport. The game will take place during the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.
The Women's All-Star game is for seniors with no remaining college eligibility to compete one last time. The rosters are comprised of 20 of the best senior players nationwide. A voting panel of media members, long-time coaches, Intersport staff, and ambassador Terri Mitchell will determine the rosters.
Olsen was a godsend for the Iowa Hawkeyes after transferring from Villanova. Olsen averaged 17.9 points, 5.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game in her lone season in Iowa City. Her 5.1 assists per game led the Hawkeyes.
Olsen was named First Team All-Big Ten and All-Big Ten Tournament selections in her senior season with the Hawkeyes.
Olsen had the tough task of replacing Iowa legend Caitlin Clark after she went to the WNBA after the 2024 season. She also had to carry the weight of being Iowa's best player during Head Coach Jan Jensen's first season as head coach.
She braced the Hawkeyes with her leadership and hard work throughout the season. Even when Iowa went through a five-game losing streak in January, Olsen never wavered. She will Iowa to victory and carried them to the Big Ten Tournament and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Hawkeyes fans have expressed their love for Lucy in her first and only season, and she will get to represent Iowa one more time during the 2025 Women's All-Star Game. The game occurs at Hillsborough Community College (Dale Mabry Campus) in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Saturday, April 5.
The game tips off at 2:00 p.m. Central Time, and will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
