Iowa Football has been plagued by inconsistencies for the first few weeks of the season.
The passing attack struggled mightily during the team's week one win against Albany and week two loss to Iowa State in the Cy-Hawk rivalry in Ames.
The passing attack got off to a great start during last Saturday's win against UMass, and finally started clicking in the 47-7 victory.
One bright spot for the Iowa offense has been the running game. Iowa has five running backs who have contributed to the success of the rushing attack, accompanied by quarterback Mark Gronowski and wide receiver Kaden Wetjen.
In week one's win, it was freshman sensation Xavier Williams (122 rushing yards, one touchdown) who led the rushing attack. In week two's loss to Iowa State, it was Jaziun Patterson (60 rushing yards) leading the charge.
During last week's dominating win over UMass, it was freshman Nathan McNeil (56 rushing yards) leading the rushing attack.
During Kirk Ferentz's weekly press conference on Tuesday, the head Hawkeye had some good and bad news regarding the running back depth chart after releasing the depth chart earlier in the day.
In: Kamari Moulton back at practice and looks fine.

Out: Xavier Williams for at least a few weeks.
Ferentz stated that Week One starting running back Kamari Moulton is back after suffering a shoulder injury during Iowa's first offensive drive in the victory over Albany.
After sharing the good news that Moulton is back in the fold, Ferentz announced that Xavier Williams is out with a minor injury and will miss a few weeks.
During his press conference, Ferentz stated that he is excited that Moulton is back, but would rather it not be a "prisoner swap" as the squad lost Williams.
Getting Moulton back is great news for the Hawkeye running back group, and it will be the next man up as they attempt to replace Williams' productivity.
